Movement of voter photo identification bills

Voter ID laws have become increasingly popular since Indiana and Georgia lawmakers first introduced strict versions in 2005. While a few states (like Arizona, Florida and others) had voter ID requirements in place before those states, dozens more have considered such legislation since 2009 when the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) drafted its model "Voter ID Act."
